My Spirit Husband and How I Started Heart And Star Studios
A Spirit Husband is the male side of a medicine woman. He is a part of me and he is a real entity. I call him The Cosmic Lover. Lynn V. Andrews, author and shaman, was the first to tell me of Spirit Husbands. Lynn’s book, “Windhorse Woman” tells of her trip to Tibet and of her stay there with members of the Sisterhood of the Shields. Given are the details of the ceremony where Lynn goes on a journey to another realm and meets Windhorse, her tall, handsome Spirit Husband, who is mounted on a horse and wearing a cap with a turban and a spike at the top. His name is Windhorse.
My spirits tell me that I married my Spirit Husband in November of 2011. The same month that I officially birthed Heart And Star Studios. I built the web-site as my Final Project for beginning Dreamweaver on-line class. I added my own unique touch. I am now regularly adding to the Archives there, all the different issues of the Heart And Star Studios e-News.
I have always been clairaudient since 19, the time of my Shamanic Initiation. I have acquired clairvoyance in more recent years. I suppose it helps to be living in a sacred area like Mount Shasta and drinking the purest water on Earth! The Sacramento River headwaters are located at City Park just North of the Mount Shasta City limits.
My Cosmic Lover is very kind and handsome and sexy. I call him “Man of a Thousand Faces”. He is a combination of Krishna, Bono, Glenn Hughes, Jimmy Page, and every other man I find sexy and fuckable! But he is more Godlike, more ethereal. To me, he is very real.
Every woman has the potential to find her own Spirit Husband. Every man has the potential to find his own Spirit Wife. It’s like you marry your polar opposite energy-entity inside of yourself. And yet, I feel His arm around me. Often, I get a very romantic vision of two hands holding each other, like two lovers walking on a beach. A sun-kissed beach.
Mount Shasta is said to be “the place where Heaven and Earth meet”. Many weddings are held here. There are at least 4 to 5 separate Crystal Shops within a mile of each other! My favorites are Soul Connections, then Crystal Castle, then Amorah Quan Yin’s Dolphin Star Crystal shop.
I am wandering from the subjects of both my Spirit Husband and Heart and Star Studios.
But I can’t imagine giving up Heart And Star Studios. It is evolving into a virtual art gallery, as well as a virtual concert hall and desktop publisher. A woman stuck in the wilderness without a car or much money, had better find creative and unconventional ways to present her art, writing, and music. Just try getting to music gigs and back without a car in towns with no buses on nights or weekends! Enough said.
I do this for the sheer love of my work. It “just feels right”. I am grasping the basics of Java computer code, also. I have a feeling this is going to be important to my future.
And yes, I collect rocks and quartz crystal points. I sometimes place these under my pillows at night before sleep to give myself “power dreams”. It works! I dream of specific rocks, known and unknown to me. And I dream of layouts of quartz crystal points and other polished semi-precious gemstones. Recently, I have been introduced to crysocolla, denim lapis, and also 4 beautiful banded amethysts! Maybe I should posts photos of these specimens here!

10 Things I Know About Boredom
1. It can kill. Or to put it more accurately, it can induce thoughts of ending your own life if you feel way deep down inside you are “stuck” someplace where you really don’t want to be, and you feel, truly feel, there is “no way out”. It’s like a blank wall with no door or window. A wall that stretches endlessly from left to right. 20 feet high. Not so easily scaled. Solid. Implacable. No matter how gorgeous your nude finger paintings of cavorting sex Gods and Goddesses, sooner or later, you crave real human contact, sexual or not, with a roomful of friendly, like-minded people. Ones who accept you as the sexy polyamorous bi-sexual Goddess babe you truly are. Not an all-out orgy. But not a close-minded bunch of “Christians” who pretend they are heterosexual, monogamous, vanilla, and voting for their God, gun “rights” (WTF?), and country. Geez.
2. I am never bored when helping somebody else out. Usually this takes place on the phone. I get a lot of phone calls from people in my two programs of recovery. I am not the only one who struggles with money, work, and wondering when will I get paid good money for my good work?!
3. Endless sex is not the cure for boredom. I love sex. I fantasize about it. Sex is possibly the most compelling emotion there is, next to love. Love is in the heart. Sex lives in the hips. When heart and hips unite together with four hands and a blend of hair, kisses, and sighs, it can make the news! Or at least make your day.
4. Just existing only to be of service to all people and living creatures doesn’t quite cure the boredom, either. I do love being of service to my fellow humans; it’s one way that I keep the “recovery” I have gotten from my two programs of recovery. But I, Linda, have my needs, too! I need pleasure. I need fun. I need to get out of the house—and often! I am not meant to be stuck between the same 4 walls, day after day. I do love the Internet and telephone. Such great tools of communication! But I need variety. Adventures. The outdoors. To go more places, see more things, meet more people. I do this as often as my money and time afford it.
5. Boredom happens when you fail to be turned-on by your life. You may need a change. To put a slight shift in what you are doing “for a living” or for your life. Perhaps trying a different type of book, movie, TV show, or going somewhere you have not been to for quite awhile. Trying new foods. New people. Entering a different church just to say hello to another version of the same God.
6. Boredom happens. Like shit. Difference is, it doesn’t smell. As long as you do enough housekeeping!
7. Someone once told me that boredom is self-centeredness. Um, which self? I am an entire cast of characters. My Inner Lover, Child, Artist, Healer, Sacred Whore, Kitty Mama, and Geek are all sub-selves of mine. Everybody gets along well. Not much yelling in this household!
8. Boredom is boring. My mind is finite. My mind is broad. Perhaps boredom is a sign to change activities. If what I am doing is important, it’s a very good idea to finish that thing first! Then, take a walk, weather permitting. Also, consider dining out! At a decent restaurant (no fast food!)
9. The word boredom equals bore (boar) plus dom (domme?)
10. Nothing cures boredom quite like having a good laugh! I enjoy comedies when it comes to films. Also, good romances. Either sappy and sentimental, or tastefully hot almost to the point of soft-core porn. The film “9 ½ Weeks” is a good example of the latter. Very hard to stay bored when watching films like “9 ½ Weeks”!
